Now, you are ready to choose. To find a file to download check the box marked “PSP”. Check one of the “Advanced Filter” boxes if you are looking for specific media to download. If you find the file that you are looking for, click the “Add to my Media” button, and the file will start downloading. Make sure that the file that you are downloading is compatible with the firmware version in your PC and PSP. You can save the file in a folder in your computer.

Next, you need to transfer the file to your PSP so you can start playing. To do this, connect the PSP with the attached memory stick to your PC using the USB cable or through the wireless network. Copy the downloaded file to the “PSP”, “GAMES” folder in your PSP memory stick. This is a very important part, since a file will not fun if it is not copied to the right folder. Games should be saved in the “GAMES” folder, music files in the “MUSIC” folder, videos must be placed in the “VIDEOS” folder, and image files must be placed in the “PICTURE” folder. However, the Memory Stick duo does not come with a pre-made folder for videos. You need to save MPEG-4 video files in their own special folders located in the main directory in the memory stick.

If you do not see the folders in your memory stick you may need to create one.

Now you are ready to play.

You may also download games directly from the internet without using a PC. To do so, you must have a wireless internet connection and a web browser installed in your PSP. If you want to have access to the latest games, the best thing that you can do is join a website that allows you to have access to games for download, like PSP Blender or All PSP Games, which has one of the largest collections of videos, games, music, and other media that you can download to your PSP. Some of these websites usually charge you for a one time fee, but they also provide unlimited access to thousands of PSP games as well as movies and videos. Click here to read reviews of those sites.
